Amapola (Амапола) ("мак" по-испански and a female name) - the world famous song of English composer Jose La Calle (Jose la Calle and Joseph Lacalle) (1860-1937), he wrote in 1924 in a short time the song is literally spread around the world. It was performed and enforced in different countries in many foreign languages. Famous singers considered a matter of honor to perform this song which has long entered the golden fund of pop music and became a classic. Other works of the composer was not lucky to get such an international recognition as "Amapola".
